The Captain works very hard to make sure they know where the fish are. Gulfstream Fishing Key West try to keep travel times under one hour to maximize the fishing time. They will fish in as deep as 120 feet or sometimes as little as 20 feet. These depths are relatively close to each other. They fish were the fish are!
They are bottom fishing where you will catch yellow tail snapper, mangrove snapper, mutton snapper, hog fish, groupers, mackerel and shark. Grouper fishing is closed from January 1 to May 1 every year. Fees, rod & reels, tackle, licenses and bait are included.
It is customary to tip the crew 20%, providing you feel they did an outstanding job. (The 20% is based on full fare, excluding the Backstage Pass discount. We recommend $10-15 per person.)
